Trubilling Privacy Policy
At Trubilling ("Trubilling", "we" or "us"), we respect the privacy rights of our online visitors and users of the Trubilling Service and recognize the importance of protecting the information we collect about you. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information.
Overview
Our privacy policy is subject to the Nigerian National Information Technology Development Agency Act, the Nigerian Data Protection Regulation, and international best practices. It also covers information we may collect from social networks and certain other third-party sources.
If you receive an invoice from one of our customers and then come to the Site or otherwise interact with the Service, you are also considered a user of the Service subject to this Privacy Policy.
We provide the Service to small businesses who may have their own privacy practices. This Privacy Policy applies only to Trubilling's own data practices, and not to practices of third parties that we do not control. Terms used in this Privacy Policy that are not defined here have the meaning given in our Terms of Service.
1. Types of Information We Collect
Registration and Profile Information
When you sign up for the Service, we may collect personally identifiable information such as username, first name, last name, phone number, email address, and information about your business. We may also collect information about your interactions with us, including contact by telephone, email, or online. For service improvement, security, dispute resolution, and training purposes, we may monitor and record communications with us.
Billing Information
If you sign up for a paid account, we may collect billing information related to your account and payment.
Information Collected Through Trubilling Systems
If you use Trubilling Systems to receive payments from end customers, we may collect certain transaction information from you or our payments partner. If you are an end customer paying an invoice through Trubilling Systems, we and our payments partner may receive payment-related information as described in this policy.
Personal and Business Information From Your Use of the Service
After you set up an account, we may collect information through your use of the Service about your business and your customers, such as phone numbers, accounts receivable information, customer mailing addresses, and taxpayer-identification numbers. We use and share customer information in the same way we use and share your other information under this policy.
Usage, Viewing, and Technical Information
Whenever you use the Service, even if you do not register, we may collect information about how you access or use the Service and input data.
Information From Social Networks and Other Sources
We may receive information about you when you interact with the Service through social media, such as logging in through Facebook, liking us on Facebook, or following us on Twitter. The data we receive depends on your privacy settings with the social network. 5. Your Choices About Your Information
Account Information and Communication Preferences
You may update certain account information and communication preferences by logging into your account and changing your account settings. You can stop receiving calls from us by emailing an opt-out request to support@trubilling.com. You can stop receiving promotional emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in those communications.
We make every effort to promptly process unsubscribe requests. You may not opt out of Service-related communications, such as account verification, purchase and billing confirmations and reminders, feature changes, technical notices, and security notices, unless you terminate your account.
How Long We Keep Information
Following termination or deactivation of your account, Trubilling may retain personally identifiable information for backup, archival, or audit purposes. If you wish to close your account or delete this information, contact us. Upon request, we will make good faith efforts to delete personally identifiable information when it is not required by law or legitimate business purposes and when the request does not require disproportionate technical effort. We will respond to such requests within thirty days.
Unless otherwise required by law, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify information when we no longer need it for permitted purposes under applicable privacy laws.
6. Third-Party Tracking and Online Advertising
We may permit third-party ad networks, social media companies, and other services to collect information about browsing behavior on the Service through cookies, social plug-ins, or other tracking technologies. We may permit advertising networks to collect information about your use of the Service over time so they can show relevant ads on the Service and on other websites or services.
We will not share information about your clients or your business with these third parties. 7. How We Store and Protect Your Information
Payment Information
Trubilling collects credit card information using a security-enabled transparent pass-through to payment processors and does not store full credit card numbers or CVV2 data. Credit card information is stored by third-party payment processors, including our payments partner where applicable, who have committed to complying with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.
Payment processors may use payment information to process payments, prepare internal reports, perform analytics, anonymize personal data, provide fraud screening, resolve chargebacks or disputes, comply with legal requirements, assist law enforcement where required, and for any other purpose for which consent has been provided.
Trubilling may receive the name on a credit or debit card, cardholder postal code, last four digits of a card number, and certain transaction information, which we use in accordance with this policy.
Storage and Processing
Information collected through the Service may be stored and processed in the Federal Republic of Nigeria or in other countries where Trubilling, its subsidiaries, affiliates, or service providers maintain facilities. If you are located in a region with data protection laws that differ from Nigerian law, you consent to the transfer, use, and disclosure of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Keeping Your Information Safe
Trubilling uses commercially reasonable physical, administrative, and technological safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of information collected through the Service. No security system is impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee security absolutely. If information under our control is compromised because of a security breach, we will take reasonable steps to investigate and, where appropriate, notify affected individuals and take other steps in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Password Security
Your password is an important part of our security scheme. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account and for all activities under your password or account. Report any misuse or compromise of your password to Trubilling as soon as you become aware of it.
8. Children's Privacy
Trubilling does not knowingly collect or solicit information from anyone under the age of 18 in the absence of a parent or guardian, and does not knowingly allow such persons to register as users. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. The Service may integrate with or contain links to third-party sites and services. While we take reasonable care to ensure third-party sites have no known record of violating privacy best practices and laws, we are not responsible for the practices of third-party websites or services embedded in, linked to, or linked from the Service.
